Leitmotifs and The Sound I might be using in my Movie: Althea
Good day, as you may know in my last blog I discovered that a short recurring music phrase played in films that create meaning without visual representation is called a Leitmotif. After watching a StudioBinder video about Leitmotifs, I now know a soundtrack is similar if not the same as a Leitmotif. And there are 4 types of Leitmotifs which are Emotional, Setting, Character, and Evolutional, which I will be explaining briefly.
Character Leitmotifs
A soundtrack attached to a character (could be a signal)
for example, in the 1975 film "Jaws", the shark which is one of the characters, is never really seen in the movie. However, as the movie progresses the audience would know when the shark was near due to this Leitmotif:
Setting Leitmotif
Evolutional Leitmotif
the soundtrack that follows a character in their growth and progression. The soundtrack is the same throughout the progression of the character, but it may be played with different instruments. The character Anakin's progression Leitmotif is one of my favorites because I'm a big fan of star wars and this leitmotif is a really good representation of his character development from this:

On to the soundtrack idea, I might be using for my movie:
Unfortunately, I can't upload any audio clips :( but I want to use suspenseful music in my film, but I haven't decided on which sound on https://elements.envato.com. Nevertheless, I will try to upload my sound in my next blog. Also, the Storyboard for my movie is complete and I will be displaying that and what shot I plan on using for each scene.
